Packet Blowing Systems

Packet Blowing Systems use controlled bursts of air—typically via venturi blowers, to convey snack packets through ducting from hoppers or earlier production stages to weighers or packers. Large-radius ducts and gentler airflow ensure packets, even with delicate surfaces, are transferred safely, maintaining packet integrity and presentation.

Air-blowing is ideal in high-speed, long-distance, or multi-level applications where gravity or belts could damage packets. It’s also perfect for environments where packet spacing and gentle handling are essential, such as when feeding weighers or multi-pack machines from central hoppers.

KMG Packet Blowing Systems can handle a wide variety of finished packet types, including crisps, popcorn, pellets, coated nuts, biscuits, tortillas, and extruded snacks. The system accommodates both single-flavour and multi-flavour packs and is capable of supporting indirect packet formats (2, 3, 4, 5, 6 packs) into weighers or multi-pack machines.

KMG offers optional reject functionality built into the packet blowing line. This allows rejected items to be identified and diverted before entry to weighers or packaging, helping maintain product quality and preventing downstream contamination or disruption.

These systems deliver gentle, damage-free transport over flexible routes, maximise hygienic installation (with minimal mechanical contact), allow easy line balancing between parallel packers, and enable multi-packing setups without extensive conveyance planning. With no belts or contact points, they require minimal maintenance and offer high throughput with exceptional product protection.
